last night we swam against Beaver Brook Country Club in our final meet of the season. the best part, besides the score, was that i got to miss guard for it. YES!
their pool is even more awkward than Cherokee Country Club's because Beaver Brook's is 30 yards, instead of 25 yards. HOW WEIRD! a couple of us girls did the math, and then poor 200 IM-ers were doing 40 extra yards than they were used to. the blocks were bad also. they were tiny width wise, and it was difficult to do a backstroke start because the hand hold was a good two feet from the water's edge.
so i technically swam a 60 yard freestyle, the 60 yard breaststroke in the 240 yard medley relay, the 60 yard backstroke, and the last leg in the 240 yard free relay. killer right? well the good thing i guess is that we won against them (: 356-330 VH! woo hoo! i think we did awesome given that we were very short on swimmers, and im glad we ended the season with a bang.
ha! i hate awkward pools!
